I’m assuming the print edition is for the US? International shipping is sadly usually $$$$

But I’m so delighted to hear this is happening!

Thank you! So are we!

Sounds absolutely splendid! Would love to have the mug and leather bookmark to go along; also absolutely love that they consider accepting barter - maybe I have some venison left in the freezer :)

Just trying to build up the kind of world in which we want to live! Barter can be such a relief, and so mutually helpful.

I'm personally am also super-excited about the mug and bookmark!

This is excellent news!

I smiled at "We have procured two cow hides"

Thank you!

Well, I mean...we have, so might as well be forthright about it!

What! A print subscription! This is phenomenal.

Also, I love this: "Ground you deeper in reality. When you read about real life while seeing, smelling, touching, and hearing the rustle of the pages of our beautiful journal, you will experience everything therein with a stronger sense of presence. Take the opportunity to hold Hearth & Field in your hands and connect to it with all your senses. (Except for taste: we don’t recommend tasting our print editions. The recipes are good though.)"

Also! Bartering!! Buy now pay later!! This is all making my heart burst with glimpses of the world we need.

Thank you, Kristin! We are definitely over the moon about being able to take this next step. I hope you'll join us!

And, I mean, not to toot my own horn, but I did personally write the joke about tasting...

I’m do excited about this endeavor I can barely contain myself. This is so perfect for someone who likes a “hard copy” of everything she reads because she wants to save it all! 🥰

Your are definitely a kindred spirit, Tanya!

A print edition of this sounds fabulous.

Q4U: I was mid signing up, and noticed that editions are quarterly, but subscription cost is monthly. Am I correct on that?

Thanks!

Expand full comment

Yes, Jody -- thank you for asking! The print editions are quarterly, but there will be monthly online premium-subscriber-only features and content (in addition to the usual monthly online issues). So there will be monthly premium features, but the print issues will come four times a year.

You will find that the print issues are essentially the length of three monthly magazines (we're talking over 100 pages), but bound into one so that it will be more book-like and less ephemeral.
