This made me smile! It also shows you how much drama is stirred up on the news to make things seem so much more dreadful (obviously not dismissing the awful things occurring, but I think you get my point here)..and it really is that most people are just trying to get through their lives with as much as kindness as they can offer.
Also your comment on that photo gave me a good laugh.. my stomach hurts just looking at that buckle 😂
That high and tight pony, too...well, I kid around in captions, but of course I think she is lovely. But that's not what air travel looks or feels like, it it? 😂
It really was a really lovely day as these little nice things kept piling up. There were many more, too. I hope we can all do a few more small acts of kindness this week!
Thanks, Greta. I think I was better able to notice because I was flying alone; when I'm with my little kids, I'm in a totally different mindspace while traveling!
Perspective really is everything. Glad you took the time to notice the other faces out there, I'm sure you were a blessing to others on your travels, too!
I am rarely able to notice this sort of thing to the degree I would like so this day was really a gift. I hope I can retain the eyes to notice human kindness more often!
When I go out in the world I'm constantly reminded of how lovely people can be. It's only when I take in too much media that I feel discouraged. And it's not always bad media. It's just that I need more in person interactions than I realize (no matter how many times I remind myself of this). Thank you for the reminder.
In times past, the short hops between CA and UT were fun and an adventurous break from the mundane. The flight crews were comforting. Some were even funny and entertained us during crowded holiday flights. Then we got larger and the seats got smaller. Now my husband absolutely refuses to fly. I don't put up much of a fuss though because it's even more fun and adventurous to make pitstops as we drive the eight-ten hours between home and destination. Rarely have/do we flown past the Rockies. Yeah, that was a little more adventurous than we wanted.
Air travel is pretty tough these days. This was only my second air adventure without kids in tow in over a decade, and I will comment that it was a great deal easier doing it without kids. I remember when flying was exciting and relatively comfortable...sigh.
So it was a delight to note all these lovely things.
Indeed, they can. I think *I* needed the reminder on Friday!

Wow, this makes air travel sound simply quaint! It’s lovely when the reminders to stay positive stack up like this. Thank you for sharing!

Again, the caption is the best! 😂
I live to serve!

Thank you for paying attention to not just the dreadful realities around us but also the cheering ones. Reading your list immediately boosted my mood!
Seeing it all really boosted my mood, too!
I'm glad it cheered you!

Good point. Negativity sells, doesn't it? And it steals our ability to observe everything else.

That buckle! 😂 How does she do it?!
There is clearly something magical going on here.
